Common questions

How much does it cost?

Nothing, for homeowners. You pay the contractor you hire, directly. Trade businesses are free during our Saskatoon launch.

Where do you operate?

Saskatoon and the immediately surrounding area only. We would rather have every trade covered in one city than a thin listing in fifty.

Who sees my address?

Only the business whose quote you accept. While businesses are quoting they see your photos and your neighbourhood — not your street.

How many quotes will I get?

Up to five. Then we close the job so you are comparing a short list rather than fielding calls all week. Emergency jobs stop taking quotes after four hours.

Can I stop or remove a job I posted?

Yes. Open the job and use the menu at the top right. Pause stops new quotes but keeps the ones you have. Delete removes it entirely. Once you have hired someone you cancel rather than delete, because there is an agreement and a contractor’s schedule on the other side.

Something went wrong with the work

Raise it with the contractor first — the agreement is between you and them. Tell us as well at support@mendbid.com. We cannot force a resolution, but repeated problems get a business removed, and that is how the standard here stays high.

To apply, write to pros@mendbid.com. Have your City of Saskatoon business licence, liability insurance certificate and WCB clearance letter ready — plus your TSASK contractor licence for electrical or gas work, or your City plumbing contractor licence for plumbing.
